The Challenge
In a highly competitive and saturated hospitality market, an established premium hospitality brand was seeking to expand and reposition its identity around authority, local culture and territory — connecting the brand more deeply with the experience of place, including exclusive Northern Lights tours.
The Editorial Intervention
I applied a four-phase methodology to extract the brand’s experiential ecosystem and turn it into a competitive edge:
Strategic Diagnosis: Alignment sessions with C-level stakeholders to define reputation and market positioning goals.
Authority Extraction: Identifying exclusive value pillars (signature gastronomy, curated heritage routes, Northern Lights tours) through in-depth interviews with key internal experts.
Cross-Cultural Narrative: Refining the tone of voice for English-speaking, Spanish-speaking, and LATAM audiences, ensuring the brand’s authority remains consistent across linguistic borders.
The Authority Asset
I developed a suite of high-impact editorial assets designed to support positioning across both B2B and B2C channels:
Thought Leadership features for specialist industry media.
Strategic CEO and Executive Chef interviews focused on vision and cultural heritage.
Foundational depth-reporting that positions the property as a destination authority.
Methodology Transfer
To ensure long-term differentiation, I delivered a technical training program for the in-house PR department. This transfer utilized editorial frameworks inspired in world-leading institutions such as the Reuters Institute and Poynter, equipping the team with high-level reporting and editing techniques.
Business Value
We moved the brand from conventional marketing to undisputed cultural authority. By replacing interchangeable content with a narrative grounded in journalistic rigor, the brand successfully differentiated itself in a saturated market, building a robust foundation of trust with both strategic stakeholders and high-value audiences.
